On Call, Part Time Office Administrator

As an On-Call BOA, you play an important role at Edward Jones. You serve as a valuable asset for the branch teams and the firm's clients.

As a firm, Edward Jones focuses on serving the serious, long-term investor. Your role is important, as you provide an important link for branch clients when the BOA is out of the office. By providing personalized customer service during this interim period, you are helping to meet client needs and are helping to grow our firm.

You provide continuity for Edward Jones branches while their BOA is out of the office. While your specific job related tasks / activities could vary depending on your branch assignment, your key responsibilities fall into three categories and will remain the same regardless of the branch in which you are working:

Responsibility Description
Provide excellent customer service Demonstrate the knowledge, desire, and ability to meet client needs and fulfill the firm's branch image for service excellence.
Demonstrate professional work-ethic Exhibit the behaviors required to achieve successful performance in a workplace environment. Follow firm and regulatory standards; and respect client confidentiality.
Seek self-development opportunities
  • Proactively complete training to improve knowledge and skill.
  • Additional key responsibilities will depend on the training you have completed and your level of experience.

The financial advisor or BOA in your assigned branch will inform you if you are expected to perform the following:

  • Office administrative tasks
    • Manage office activities using Calendar and Activities, processes office bills; manage correspondence and maintain required branch files.
  • Process accounts
    • Know the products, services and account types offered by the firm, maintains prospect and account data; process deposits, disbursements and account transfers.
